Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif Exchange Positive Comments About 'Chikni Chameli'

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif might not be dating full time, yet, but the "Chikni Chameli" item number had them talking about each other! Just recently, Katrina commented about what former flame Salman said about her musical routine.

According to Bollywood Life, Katrina Kaif was just recently helping to launch a new line of Panasonic air conditioners in Mumbai. She commented about the positive response she's been hearing for "Chikni Chameli," saying:

"The response to Chikni Chameli has been fun so far. It was hard work. It was very fast and it was not a style I was used to, but I took it as a challenge…I think we all went for it as a team and did the best we could. I am happy people are liking it."

Bollywood star Salman Khan, also a former romantic interest of Katrina's, always likes the item number. Katrina admits she hadn't heard from him directly about it, but when told of his praise, said:

"He has not told that to me but I think that's a great thing. He has a great taste in music and songs. So, if he likes it, then it's great."

Katrina also said she is pleased with how 2011 went for her. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will very likely be big in Bollywood news in 2012 as well. They are currently working together on "Ek Tha Tiger," which is a romantic thriller film due out in August of 2012. The former lovers will have the lead roles in this one, making for a rather interesting dynamic. The fact they get along while working, and have good things to say about each other, could lead to more in 2012 if they should decide to rekindle their romantic relationship!

Katrina: Salman and I are still very good friends

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Question: In Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, you look like a chirpier version of your character in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara...

Katrina Kaif: I will have to say there is absolutely no similarity between the two. In MBKD, I had to completely let my hair down because my role is a lot quirkier. She is completely mad at times. In fact, it took me a while to completely feel the madness, but I guess that's the challenge.



Question: Imran Khan says this is your best performance ever.

Katrina Kaif: I have to confess that Imran and I come from completely different schools of thought. I never thought he had a great opinion on anything. But, I think we learnt to appreciate each other's eccentricities.



Question: You are working with Salman after four years in Ek Tha Tiger. Are you nervous about spending so much more time with him?

Katrina Kaif: Well, it's been a while since we've worked together apart from a few cameos now and then. I can't deny my equation with him has changed. It does with everyone. But we are still very good friends and that's not changed.



Question: How do you manage to maintain a friendship despite so much being written about the two of you?

Katrina Kaif: You can't really be bothered by everything people write. When you are at a stage in life where you are doing well, I guess a lot will be written. Salman is at a place where he is working that much harder, so there is little time to think about much else.



Question: Is it true that you switch off your phone and cut-off from the world every time you have to shoot with Salman?

Katrina Kaif: Not at all! I have a life beyond this. I wake up, go to work, come back and hang out with friends. That won't change irrespective of whom I am working with.



Question: Why are you a part of cat-fights with everyone from Anushka to Kareena?

Katrina Kaif: I know scandals sell, but not at the cost of someone's work or reputation. I would be lying if I say these stories don't affect me. But I speak for myself when I say that I'm not agitated by competition. I don't know about the rest, but I know how to handle it.





Question: So you will be comfortable working with Anushka in your next film with SRK?

Katrina Kaif: Of course I will. Plus, Anushka is doing a great job and it would be great to work with her.



Question: You will be working with SRK for the first time too. Do you know him personally?

Katrina Kaif: We've met at a few award functions. That's all.



Question: A political party wanted you to endorse their work sometime back. Would you ever think of getting into politics?

Katrina Kaif: I will get involved in social work, but never in politics.

Salman wants to play games with Katrina

The naughty Salman Khan seems to enjoy spending time with Katrina Kaif, but what's rather interesting is that he's confessed a desire to take it to the next level, by playing some games with her.

Salman also elaborated by saying that the last birthday he spent with Katrina, was three years back. Speaking about it, he said, “Last birthday that me and Katrina celebrated together was around three years ago, and it
was really fun.”

Launching the PlayBook tablet of BlackBerry in India, Salman stated that he would like to play games on it with Katrina Kaif.

Quizzed by the media on whether he would like to chat or call any ‘special friends’ with his new tablet, Salman slammed the media for acting the usual and said that he would prefer playing games on the device.

Looks like, he does want to play games with Kat, but he'd take time to spill the beans. That's okay, we'll wait Salman!

Salman Khan - Katrina Kaif Relation 'Infact'

Few days back, certain TV channels were showing Salman Khan and his beau, Katrina Kaif, had arrived separately for the success bash of Kacnchivaram, which was organized by the producers of the movie, Percept. This had led to the speculation that they were not together anymore.

But when the bad boy of Bollywood was asked on the same by a daily, he mentioned that he was not aware of such an incident at all.

“I’ve been travelling. What is it that you are talking about? I haven’t see TV since yesterday,” he said. When he was told and asked if he and Katrina were still together, he let out his trademark smile and mentioned that, “Oh! We didn’t come together because we didn’t want to give everyone present a photo of together. We are saving that for a special reason. Very soon, we will be making an appearance together.”
